What do I do in my free time?
I may or may not leave comments on practically every TikTok I see, as if everyone in the world must know my opinion on the matter.
While these are by no means the best lines I’ve ever written, it turns out people still really like what I have to say.
context: A woman rudely posted a video of her finding a giant spider in her matcha powder. Rightfully I was not pleased.

context: Some girls were doing a white elephant with Jellycats (the cutest stuffed animals ever) where they would each open a Jellycat, fall in love with it, and then potentially have it stolen from them. Absolutely brutal.

context: A canned cocktail brand posted a video about how un-fun it can be to learn a new card game at a party. I (as usual) played devil’s advocate and was reassured to see I wasn’t the only one who feels this way.
context: Two girls were saying, “I’m right, you’re wrong, and that’s okay,” at the same time, so they couldn’t hear each other, then hugged to the count of five. This was meant to be a way to make up in an “agree to disagree” type of situation, but that doesn’t really work for me (as you can see, my friend djbauer knows me quite well).

When it comes to my life outside of TikTok, I’m a big fan of the art of noticing. I do have a hodgepodge of various crafts I like to dabble in, but most of my free time is spent romanticizing the mundane aspects of my everyday life.
To be a cat, sitting on a fence, basking in the sun. I could be. I could sit on that very fence. I could bask in that same sunlight. I really could.
